Techniques of www.TR1.de

Browser

TR1.de should be displayed correctly in any recent browser. For example Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Microsoft Internet Explorer. Older browsers, especially the very buggy and non-standard IE6 and IE7, are not supported and might not show TR1.de correctly.

Javascript

This pages require JavaScript. For correct viewing and using please allow JavaScript within your browser.

Resolution

The pages should be displayed correctly with a monitor resolution starting at 1024 x 768 pixel and the browser zoom set to "normal", "reset" or 100%.

Some functions (visit counter) are based on a simple HTTP-Cookie. Read here how to control your cookies.

Pictures

With a click on (most) small pictures, they are displayed larger on a darkened background. For navigation within an picture gallery, you can use the displayed buttons (PREV, NEXT, CLOSE) and the keyboard cursor keys. The Esc key closes the pop-up window. I took the base functionality from Yury Plashenkov's Slidewindow 2 and did some modifications.

Web-techniques

TR1.de uses valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional. Just click this picture at the footer of each page to test it. TR1.de also uses valid CSS level 3. Click this picture to test it. The pages are created using PHP and PERL (Forum, Search and Service manuals).

Framework

Almost all pages are written using a self-written PHP framework. All headers, footers and navigation elements are created within that framework. For an example check the code for the Forum page:

Third party software

The Forum is based on YaBB 2.1. The Guestbook is based on tsGuestbook 1.2. The Search is based on Perlfect Search 3.37. The pop-up to view the pictures is based on Slidewindow 2 (also see above "Pictures"). Videos are shown using JW Player. Please note that Adobe's Flash Player is required for that! The code to highlight search words is based on Raymond Hill's software. The Statistics are created using Webalizer. The captcha-pictures to register at the Forum, to sign the Guestbook or the list of Riders are created using Google reCAPTCHA. Translation in the forum is done using the Google Website Translator gadget.

TR1.de is hosted at ALL-INKL.COM. This hosting is not for free! Please check my Donation page if you would like to support here...

Privacy

The visitors IP addresses are stored in the logfile of the hosters web server and are just used for my access statistics. The simple HTTP-Cookie (see above "Cookies") stores just the number of visits and the date of the last visit of a visitor. The Forum shows currently online "Guests" with their IP address. Never I will do anything with this data beside the above described situations.

Ältere Browser, besonders die fehlerbehafteten und nicht den Standards folgenden IE6 and IE7, sind nicht unterstützt und zeigen TR1.de vermutlich nicht korrekt an.

Auflösung

Bilder

Durch einen Klick auf die (meisten) kleinen Bilder, werden diese auf einem verdunkeltem Hintergrund größer dargestellt. Um in einer Bildergallerie zu navigieren, können die dargestellten Buttons (PREV, NEXT, CLOSE) oder die Cursortasten der Tastatur verwendet werden. Die Esc Taste schließt das Pop-up Fenster. Die Basisfuntionalität dafür habe ich von Yury Plashenkov's Slidewindow 2 übernommen und einige Änderungen durchgeführt.

Web-Techniken

TR1.de verwendet gültiges XHTML 1.0 Transitional. Klicke einfach auf dieses Bild am Ende jeder Seite um es zu testen. Weiters benutzt TR1.de gültiges CSS level 3. Zum Testen auf dieses Bild klicken. Die Seiten werden mit PHP und PERL (Forum, Search und Servicemanuals) erzeugt.

Framework

Faktisch alle Seiten sind mit einem selbst erzeugten PHP Framework erstellt. Alle Standard-Seitenelemente werden innerhalb dieses Frameworks generiert. Als Beispiel ist nachfolgend der Code der Forum Seite:

Privatsphäre

Die IP Adressen der Besucher werden im Logfile des Webservers des Hosters gespeichert und werden nur für meine Zugriffsstatistiken benutzt. Das einfache HTTP-Cookie (siehe oben "Cookies") speichert nur die Anzahl der Besuche und das Datum des letzten Besuchs. Das Forum zeigt für alle "Gäste" die gerade diese Seite besuchen ihre IP Adresse. Niemals werde ich mit diesen Daten etwas anderes als vorstehend beschrieben machen.

The old TR1.de layout from 2000 - 2010

Here you see some example pictures from the old TR1.de layout. This layout was activ between 2000 and 2010. It was created using plain HTML, HTML-Frames, some PERL CGI's, some JavaScript, no CSS and no PHP. I hope you like the new layout more. Somewhere I read that this old layout was an "insult to the eye" (Beleidigung für das Auge)...
