Hi Who has a good tip to fix the starterengine with the allnown problem that it runs but does not drive the engine. I will not believe that the only solution is to by a new one. ( that will be 3 times the price of my hole 920 ) Sorry for ma bad enlish . ciou Tim Veenstra |

It's the planetgearbox outer gear (its 3 small gears that spins inside a lage gear with internal cogs) that is loose. It has a small metal piece on the outside that should lock the gear to the starterbody (that piece i designed to break if the engine locks up to preserve the starterengine). Replace that small piece and that's it! See picture; http://www3.sympatico.ca/g.boudreau/starter3.jpg #2 is the gear that should be fixed to the house #1 with tha original small metal piece or fixed with a screw trough the body #1 as you ca see in this picture; http://www3.sympatico.ca/g.boudreau/starter4.jpg good luck! WELL THE STARTER WENT OUT ON MY 2001 FORD TAURAS AND I CAN'T EVEN FIND IT BUT IF I CAN REPAIR IT WITHOUT BUYING A NEW ONE THEN THAT WOULD BE BETTER ANY ASSISTANCE IN THIS MATTER WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU
