Title: Metric treads - rocker arm axle - ???
Post by Lars Sandström(Guest) on 07.03.05 at 08:55:00

I'm trying to pull out the rocker arm shafts but i don't find a bolt that fits!  Help! Has been searching for the info in my workshop manual but I don't find it... Has tried M6 and M8 bolts (ordinary); the M8 is close but it seems as the tread is to coarse. I think that M8-1,0 (fine thread)is what I'm looking for.

Hi,
I took the original screw holding the chain sprocket to fit a tool to pull out.
I hope it helps!

Rocker arm axle thread is normal M8. If it doesn`t fit, renew it with a thread-cutter.

The chain sprocket is inside the chain-enclosure... If it's possible; can you compare (the threads)it with an ordinary M8-bolt?

Strange!!?? It seems to be a M7 that fits?? I can't get the M8 bolt to fit! I've tried both axels on the front cylinder head. :-(
