Title: Oil cooler for XV750 Post by Keith Jenkins(Guest) on 13.03.05 at 05:01:00
Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me. Living here in Australia, things get pretty hot, so I am trying to work out how to fit an oil cooler to my '81 XV750. Questions like " where do I plumb the oil cooler lines into the engine ", " will I have to modify the oil filter housing to accomodate the oil line fittings ", " has anyone ever tried this modification ", are questions I'd like answers for, as well as anything else that would be relevent. Thanks heaps and enjoy the ride :-D

I found a link were they put on an oilcooler on a '82 xv750. The kit included an engine adaptor (replaces the cover over the oil filter). http://www.viragotech.com/fixit/82750_oilcooler.html I've seen other solutions were they modified the original cover. I've not tried it myself. |
