Title: question on engine starter Post by srg on 09.02.08 at 14:42:34
In attachment you see the picture of the starter engine of my Yamaha XV1000 (1983) i must substitute. I must buy the short shaft starter engine (4X7-81800-60-00) or the long shaft starter engine (5A8-81800-10-00)? Thanks Sergio ![]() |

Ciao Sergio, the starter on the picture is the short one. The longer one would look longer ;) Like this one: http://www.mfgsupply.com/m/c/SMU0169.html?id=AaBgSPxM And you need the shorter shaft, like in your photo Ciao OLa |

Was ist denn nun korrekt? Danke für eine definitive Antwort + Gruß, Wolfgang |

Hello all, I recommend to take a look into the microfices/techinfo section at http://tr1.de/tr1/microfiche/c7_dwg.jpg As I recall, TR1. has the "long" shaft version of the starter. You can see the shaft on the micofiche in the lower right corner. Thefore the picture from Sergio does not show the shaft. The picture only shows half of the starter. Best regards, Harald |

At Sergio, Harald is absolutely right. Gruss, Georg |

Buongiorno Sergio, yes, the long one is right for the TR1. - 5A8, like the beginning of the piecenumber. Buona fortuna, Dirk |
