Title: TR1 wanted Post by Beachcomber on 08.02.11 at 17:18:24
Hi Guys, glad I found this forum. ;D I'm looking for a TR1 project - can be cosmetically challenged, slightly damaged or with bodywork missing. Prefer mechanics to be good - what have you got? I'm based in the UK most of the time, but I also have a place near Dresden [ Reichenau ]. Anything considered, must be cheapish as I'm now a pensioner ! |

Did you see my offer. I have a TR1 for sale... cosmetically challenged, new starter, basically a sound bike, but the starter just won't spin freely. Must be some kind of a wiring issue. Check this out: http://www.tr1.de/pages/forum.php?param=num=1289684122 Price is 700 (ovno) Cheers, Greg |

Many thanx for the headsup Willi. ;) Nanno, thanx for the offer - but I think the distance will make it not viable. :'( I am hoping to find bikes in the UK - I need THREE. I have 2 pals who will make the same project. |

Hi I am selling a TR1 on ebay.co.uk at the moment. I'm only suggesting this because your criteria is low eg considering damaged. She is starting at £50 with no reserve. After seven years of non use she shocked me by managing to run, only on the front cylinder at tickover, but run non the less. I can't open the throttle otherwise we could have seen if she would fire on both cylinders. I expect she will be bought for spares because she is in poor condition. Please excuse the delay in replying all. When I returned from my short break in Saxony - I found my PC had been hacked and all my e-mail addresses compromised. Also found my old passwords etc. were blocked ! [smiley=devil_3.gif] Back OK now. DumDum - I did see your bikes on e-bay and bid on them but eventually missed out...........next time eh?? |

What exactly do you mean when you say 'cheapish...? My dodgy shoulder is forcing me to consider letting my TR1 go. There. I've said it. It's a 1984 model, pulls like a.. well, like a TR1, I suppose. Seems to have a bit more go than either of the TR1s I've owned before. A bit cosmetically challenged - furry alloy, a few rusty fasteners, paintwork (silver) seen better days. Starts well, but currently in need of a new battery. BSM exhaust, which looks similar to standard but breathes a bit more freely. MOT and tax present. Located in Stoke On Trent.
