Title: ignition coil problems... Post by steven.vuyk on 09.04.12 at 19:38:27
I've redone my wiring on my bike but no matter what I do I'm not getting power to my two coils. I've given direct power and also made sure the points are working by checking the continuity. How do I test the CDI unit???

You can only test yours TCI (everyone says CDI) by a change, with an ather TCI :( Soorryy :( |

Great thanks. Do you know of anything else that could cause this or is it likely to be the TCI? |

Hello steven.vuyk, What's odd that you say that do not work both coils. What really can be. Because the coils get together both on the red / white wire to (+) power, and only about (-) for once "organge" and even "gray" supplied by the TCI. Try, if not a broken wire, from the TCI to the ignition coils. If a TCI is broken, still works most of the channel (spark plug) Sorry for this bad English, but I'll take the Googel-translator to AID ;D ;D ;D |

Thanks Odin. I found the problem. My TCI was not grounded inside. Opened it up and found the wire off. Thanks for the help anyway. |
