Title: ignition coil problems...
Post by steven.vuyk on 09.04.12 at 19:38:27

I've redone my wiring on my bike but no matter what I do I'm not getting power to my two coils. I've given direct power and also made sure the points are working by checking the continuity. How do I test the CDI unit???

You can only test yours TCI (everyone says CDI) by a change, with an ather TCI  :(

Soorryy  :(

Great thanks.

Do you know of anything else that could cause this or is it likely to be the TCI?

Hello steven.vuyk,
What's odd that you say that do not work both coils.
What really can be.
Because the coils get together both on the red / white wire to (+) power, and only about (-) for once "organge" and even "gray" supplied by the TCI.
Try, if not a broken wire, from the TCI to the ignition coils.
If a TCI is broken, still works most of the channel (spark plug)

Sorry for this bad English, but I'll take the Googel-translator to AID  ;D ;D ;D

Thanks Odin.

I found the problem.
My TCI was not grounded inside. Opened it up and found the wire off.

Thanks for the help anyway.
