I have removed and cleaned the carbs twice, removes taken apart the fuel tap tried different coils and replaced plugs and caps inc ht lead end trim! I found another TCI unit number J4T 00672.. Which Google says is for the xv1000 tr1... But with this fitted it will NOT start . My original unit J4T 00671 Google says is for an xv750 !!! What is the correct number for my bike ( TR1 980cc) ????? HELP PLEASE.....

hi, the TCI `s with the steel case are all the same, XV 750 SE, TR 1 and XV 1000 midnight Special! The Viragos have TCI `s with plastic case and only 1 "Geberspule" (german word) out of the left side cover from the engine - two cables. You must have 4 cables, check this, the resistance between two cables must have about 185 Ohm! Do brauchds iaz goa ned grinsn, i hob an Hiama ghobd in Englisch, do wißaz ia a ned mehra.................... |
