Title: 920 Chain Drive output sprocket revs Post by Ralphstboy on 28.01.14 at 10:32:34
G'day, my first request was confusing so I'll have another go, if thats all right. Can anyone please tell me how many turns of a 920 crank shaft does it take to turn the output sprocket one turn in fourth gear, or any gear as long as you mention which one, regards Joe J. |

I was´nt too good in Math, but i think one turn of the crank is 0,6 turns of the sprocket in fourth gear, you can find all the gear ratio in the technics section, Primary is 1,66 longer, 4. gear is nearly 1:1, a picture of your "morganesque " trike would be nice, once i saw such a vehicle speeding up the hill, fascinating. G'day Ali, thanks for the info and I'll check more on the site, still don't know why the shaft drive would have such a low final ratio but, still no matter I'll use the standard 16/35 (I think) sprocket sizes for my calculations. I've attached a pic of my trike, it has a Honda CX500 at present and used to look better before I shifted the radiator out front to avoid overheating, it's pretty hot for 6 months here, see you Joe J |
