Hello

It is time for me to replace my battery. I know there have been many threads on battery replacement but in German!. The google translator helps but it is difficult for me to search for anything unless I know the German technical names. I know. I should learn German!!
But in the meantime can someone suggest a good replacement. If I can go smaller and lighter that would be good.
I know there there are some small incredibly light batteries than only work for one start but from your experience what is the preferred best battery?

Currently running an unbranded 14AH AGM battery (because the stock battery died over the course of Winter) and it's definitely up to the job. I've also tried using a 10AH AGM battery and even that one was powerful enough, not sure how many attempts you'd get out of it though.

Since 1998 I have replaced the old battery with the Hawker and have no problems over 100.000 km! Even after the winter break of five months the Hawker has full power to start the motor! I´m very satisfied with it.

Kevin, this Hawker maybe a good choice, but you´ve been  asking for something smaller with less weight, so the new Lifepo4 accumulators may be concidered. My five cent: they are not availabele for small money ,  but i´ve got one with a 7,5 AH this spring, and it works fine and the weight is :900 Gramms, it´s small, and it has power. If it´s true what the sellers say, there should be no need to replace it for many years, and its plug and play as long as your rectifier don´t produce more than  14,5 Volts, the TR1 produces maximum 14,4 V under best circumstances, everything over will kill a Hawker same as an old Pb Battery ,

Ich fahre zur Zeit die Gel-Batterie von Techno.
Kann mich über nichts beschweren, wobei ich finde sie ist nicht so leicht.

Ali hat mich dann da auch auf eine Idee gebracht mit dem Lifepo4 Akku nur ich glaube ich habe nochmal einen etwas billigern gefunden.
Ich werde denn dann auch wohl kaufen.

In the moment I drive the Gel-Battery from Techno.
The Battery is making a good Job, but i think it is a littel bit heavier then the Hawker.

My next Battery will be a Lifepo4 Akku.

Du hast nichts gegen die Hawker gesagt, aber: "...the TR1 produces maximum 14,4 V under best circumstances, everything over will kill a Hawker same as an old Pb Battery". Mit "Glück" habe ich die offensichtlich gute Lima-Regler-Kombination meiner TR gemeint.
