Hi Ulthi,

I had contact with the seller.
He doesn´t know wether the Starter has 2 or 4 brushes.
If you have to buy a new starter take one with 4 brushes.
So - keep your hands off.

Due to the position of the positive pole, it should be a 4-brushes Version. It is also listed for the XV 1100. This indicates also the presence of 4 brushes.

Are you sure? That would be great.  :D
I think its difficult to find a 4-brush starter on ebay

It was what i thought when i saw the picture of the starter: it´s a 4-Brushes  Model because of the Position of the positive pole, just as K.H. wrote.
I bought one some time ago at Ebay, 135 Euro.  It works good. There seem to be to kinds of starters: one from Mitshubishi (or so), and one without any label. I have the one from Mitsubishi. For TR1 you need the long axle Type, short axle is for XV750 Models.
Another thing: sometimes the axle does not fit correctly (too big), i took the old axle / from the old starter-no problem,
