Title: Looking for a TR1 project bike Post by kdemery on 22.12.15 at 12:06:40
Hello I am looking for a TR1 project bike. I don't need wheels, exhaust, tank or seat. As long it has frame, engine and wiring loom it will be OK for me. I am willing to travel to collect the bike but would prefer it if the bike were in the UK. Can anyone help? Does anyone have a collection of TR1 bits that would make up a bike or has an old bike that they intended to rebuild but it never happened? I don't intend to build a cafe racer. I'm bored with seeing those, no originality just copying all the other cafe racers. It's time to build something different. All the best and Happy Christmas. Kevin |

Hello Wolfgang I am from Salisbury. It's in the south about a 100 miles west of Kent. Thank you for the help with the frame but I need more than that. Also it's a long way from here to the south of Germany. But thank you anyway. Regards Kevin |

Kevin, you could contact "Beachcomber" not sure, whether he's on this forum or only on VTF, but he's regularly breaking XV920ies and TR1s for spares and as an added bonus: He's in the UK. ;) Cheers, Greg |

Hello Steveo: It sounds like you have what I need. But its a long way to Switzerland from here. I would like to see if I can find something closer. But if I can't I will be back in touch with you. Thanks for your help anyway. Greg: Good idea. I contacted Beachcomber this afternoon. He hasn't got anything but he knows of a couple of parts bikes in the UK. He is going to make enquiries on my behalf. Thanks for pointing me in his direction. Regards Kevin |
