Hi, I need to top up my engine oil on a 1981 xv1000 t1 I've checked the manual but can't find what oil to use any suggestions please I'm in the UK thanks |

The endless discussion about the best types of oils ;D ;D ;D ;D You can take 15W40 till 20W50 but ONLY !!!! Mineral |

Yup, oil and enough of it should do. Any good mineral oil will do, semi-synth or full-synth is not necessary, but will work fine with uprated clutch springs. (Not sure about stock!) Most importantly: no car oils with friction optimizers of any sort. Cheers, Greg |
