Ich moechte meine Auspuffanlage wieder in guten zustand bringen (loecher schweissen lassen, neu verchromen).

Hat jemand das schon mal gemacht? Ich habe die Orginal auspuffanlage.

Besonders interessiert mich wie man die Innereien ausbaut bevor man den Schalldaempfer zum verchromen gibt. Ich habe keine Ahnung wie der Auspuff von innen aussieht...

Ich werde Dich nun leider enttäuschen müssen, aber mit einer neuen (Fremden) Anlage kommst Du günstiger.
Kein Galvaniker, wird Dir einen alten Endtopf verchromen,
denn die Unternehmen wollen sich keine Verunreinigungen (Russpartikel) in das Chrombad einfangen. :-?

I have done exactly as you described. I repaired the exhaust and had it re-chromed. The results are good you can see my bike in gallery 4 with the re-chromed exhausts. (K.Emery)

My original exhaust was quite good, it just lost the chrome through over polishing. There were very few scratches or dings. I had one of the cans repaired but in the cleaning process a new hole was found. The can was returned to me to repair again before it was chromed.

I believe the problem with the cans is cleaning them. The soot particles pollutes the cleaning fluid. I found a company in the UK who waited until they had a batch of exhausts to clean and re-chrome. This made it cost effective for them.

I did not open up the cans before re-chroming them.
