I have an unfinished project bike for sale. I have bought another bike and I need the garage space so it has to go.
My intention was to create a lower and lighter bike with 21inch wheels. A little like an early Vincent racer.
The donor bike was a Mini TR1 (750 chain drive.) I lowered the bike dropping the forks through the yokes at the front and fitting a shorter shock at the rear. Fitting larger diameter wheels initially raised the bike but lowering the suspension gives a ground clearance reduction of 15mm. The engine has been stripped and rebuilt. Everything comes with it from the donor bike except a seat and an exhaust, you will need to fabricate those. Also I have removed the frame below the seat. It is not required for a solo seat bike.
You will need to put everything back together. It's all disassembled, everything is stripped down. You will need to complete the manufacture of the seat frame.
The wheels are based on XS650 hubs front and rear. The hubs are fitted with new bearings, stainless steel spokes and polished stainless steel 21 inch rims. Both wheels are fitted with new BT45 tyres. As you may be aware there are no 21 inch rear tyres available. To the rear a BT45 has been fitted in reverse. In the UK you will need to remove the direction text before taking it in for an MOT.
All of the alloy engine covers have been polished.
So, it needs to go. I am asking £600 for everything. The sum value of the parts is greater but I need it to go quickly rather than break it into parts and sell it separately. The V5 is in my name.
