Installed new brake pistons on my XV920R rebuild.

Now it was about 3 months between me taking them apart and them putting it all back together, and I don't think I have lost any parts, BUT, I do not have the pad spring, (Feder der Bremsbelagplatte), #3 in the diagram below.

Is this something that used to come with a new set of pad but now doesn't ?
Could a previous owner have left them out ?

I can't seem to find any for sale anywhere.

I have also seen brakes where this part was missing, but this spring should definitely be installed.
You can get it wherever parts for these brakes are sold; identical parts are used in the Yamaha XS 650, XS 750/850, XS 1100 and XJ 650, for example.
