Title: TR1 / XV920RH Post by Robert Druge Connecticut USA(Guest) on 22.09.01 at 22:15:00
I have a 1981 xv920RH chain drive usa model. I have found out that I can no longer buy carb slides from yamaha here. The carb model is listed as HSC40x2,( Hitachi 40mm I think ). Is there anyone who might know if the TR1 carbs are the same and if there are new ones available. If the carbs are differant would a complete set of TR1 carbs fit (the bikes look very close)? The bike is getting a little wiggly- I think it is time to replace the rear swingarm bearings- any suggestions? I read that some TR1 had 70 HP mine is about 50 HP is there any other differances besides the displacement. Can I make any changes for more power. Mine is 92mm bore & 69.2mm stroke. Are there any companies that still make accesories that have catalogs available? My bike has always been good to me, it only has 37,000 miles on it and I would like to keep it going another 20 years. thanks for any help. I recently picked up an XV920RH which may be one of the four we sold back when I owned a Yamaha dealership in Washington state. I recently noticed that MAC in Canada is offering exhaust systems for this bike (http://www.macprod.orc.ca/mac-web/yamaha_20xv920_202-1_20p49b.htm).
