Title: long or short starter? 5a8002360 eng + frame no's

is there a quick way to tell whether my 1981 Uk TR1 is a long or short shaft starter from the numbers or external clues?
Looking at a heavy duty replacement from
https://www.partsnmoreonline.com/PNMSite/Yamaha%20XV%20Virago%20Electrical%20Parts.html
which at current exchange rates works out about 135 Uk pounds which aint too bad.....
(PS, don't have a proper manual yet, hoping to pick one up this week though)
bitch died in traffic and refused to start today so I had to bump it, embarrasing and not easy the way mine is set up... why oh why didn't mr yamaha include a proper kicker?
thanks in advance.
