Title: Pilot jet mod??? To drill or not to drill...

Has anyone tested to enlarge the pilot jet as recommended at viragotec.com?
You can find a good description at ;

I wonder if a 0,60 mm drill is more suitable for the TR1. as the article refers to a XV750?
Gruss

I did this mod years ago using a #76 drill bit as recommended in the original article in Motorcyclist magazine. It seemed to improve response, and it also seemed to reduce backfiring.  Holding the tiny drill bit with pliers and turning the jet onto it with my fingers worked fine.

Thanks for the info! Now I have to decide if I shall use a large drill instead... Maybe I'll start with 0,5 mm after all.
