Thank you Roel for a very well organised Rally. I would also like to thank all of you for your hospitality and your warm welcome to the two Brits.
The Vincent made it home succesfully. We arrived this afternoon after two days travel. The Vinent was covered with oil! I didn't realise a bike could lose so much oil from so many places. Unfortunately Eric's chain broke and his bike had to be brought home on a trailer.

I was very pleased to meet you and Eric again this year at the rally. And I am glad to hear that, finally, you succeeded to arrive at home again - although the issues (Vincent covered in oil and Kawasaki with broken chain) might of course have caused you some worries in the meantime.

To me, there is only one logical explanation for the coincidence of the two technical issues: Eric's Kawasaki became jealous because it had to bear the seductive fragnance of all the hot oil that the Vincent spreaded around for hundreds of miles. "How unfair is the world?" the Kawa might have asked itself. "The Vincent, drowned in gallons of oil, is in the lap of decadent luxury. While my poor dry chain is starving...!" So the Kawa became green with envy (as many Kawas tend to do unfortunately). And finally its chain decided to commit suicide in order to set a clear sign of protest against all that injustice.

However - I hope that both of you can successfully fix the issues. Looking forward to see you soon again - latest in Bavaria in July, 2026.
