Title: Carburetor diaphragm replacement Post by Borderman on 10.06.20 at 17:18:58
Hi All, Need some help/advice... I bought a set of replacement diaphragms for my 1981 TR1 but when I removed the old diaphragms I did not mark the slide in relation to the locator tab on the top of the carb. There are two holes in the slide that I assume must sit in a specific location (or maybe not) Hope this makes sense ... is there anyone who has completed this on another bike who can advise? |

The slide cutout goes towards the airfilter, i.e. away from the engine.

Thanks ... I got some info off the net ... shows similar carbs and advises that the 2 holes on the bottom of the slide should be towards the engine side :thumb:

Some carbs have slides which are beveled at the lower end but according to your photos this is not the case with the TR1.
