Starter turning over with ignition swithch off
13.04.15 at 21:33:15

Hi there can any one please help. I have almost finished my rebuild customising my trusty TR1. I think I have followed the wiring diagram but with the ignition switched off or unplugged I can still get the starter to engage. Any one know what's going on with my bike? Any help would be most appreciated  undecided

Try this: swap the starter cut off relais and the starter relais , maybe this is what causes your problem,

Check the
wire plugs in the headlight shell. There are 2  connectors that will interchange with 2 other connectors. If they are plugged into the wrong connector the bike will start as soon as you turn on the key.

Your a Star... It looks like however had the bike before me had put them in the opposite holders. I might have guessed as they had replaced the broken horn button with what can only be described as an Orio. Thanks for your help I thought I was looking the plot..  Smiley Smiley
