Look at the bike Robert Lincoln redid, he used hubs from a XS 650, with wire wheels you can do what you want - allmost - I have 120/70-17" on the front and 180/70-15" on the back, with Virago 1984-1985 spoke hubs. I got them done at www.Central-wheel.co.uk in england, they are great.
