back frame cutted (Read 1951 times)

omjb Ex Member	back frame cutted 26.02.08 at 17:44:39 hello I'm new on the forum. I have seen the Sepp Kich bikes with the back part of the frame cutted. I'm very interesting, but not really quite with the rigidity ot the frame, the impact on the engine and the road handling. As Mr Sepp Koch has no any email adress, I can't contact him. If somebody have already experiment and can give me some advice I will be greatfull to him. Unfortunatelly I don't speak, and read german. Good afternoon. Olivier

It has nothing to do with the stability of the main frame, the mounting of the engine or something else. Bye, Georg

It is like Georg said, the rear frame is a "help frame". There are 4 screws. If you unscrew them, it is taken off. Actually it is easy to rebuild a TR 1 "saddle". You can also use the rear frame to reconstruct another seat possibillity, whatever you like to do and you can cut the rear frame where ever you wont. It depends on your desired one seatposition. Or you can weld another construstion and fix it with screws at the old position. But think about the seatposition, it should be comfortable for a long ride. Have Fun & Cheers Alex
