starter motor

I have a XV 1000 '81 bought in Australia (my chassis # 5K8-000658 is same as 5A8 I believe) I need if I can replace my starter motor, which is long shaft (shaft has 2 gears and 31 teeth)
My question is - Is the long shaft starter motor for my XV 1000  same as long shaft Mitsuba starter motor  for Yamaha virago XV700-1100 1984 onwards).
After looking aroud I am not clear if there is just one type of long shaft starter motor or two. Techinical diagrams on the web show that one long shaft comes with 2 gears and it appears thers one other that is direct drive. And there are the 2 and 4 brush versions.  Either case will either one or both fit my bike?
In other words do part # 5A8-81800-10-00, 5A8-81800-60-00 and 23W-81800-60-00 belong to same Long Shaft Mitsuba starter motor.
Thank u, any responce greatly appriciated, as this is becoming bit of a headache.

Got no interest, so I had to answer my own question. For  those who might have a simmilar dilemma - the answer is YES the XV 1000 (or TR1) '81 model long shaft starter motor can be replaced with long shaft starter motor (YS-19N) from Virago 700-1100 '84 onwards. Got a new four brush heavy duty version  form USA for just over US$100. Works like a dream. Wink
