Need help with Chopping Frame
09.02.11 at 15:16:02

Hello everyone,
Newbie here. Just bought a 81 Xv920 and want to make a cafe racer. Love the gallery pics of what people have done with their TR1’s.

I would like to expose the mono shock like what I have seen on so many of the cafe racers on this forum.
See attached computer mock up of the look and fell I am trying to achieve.

Can I simply cut what frame is there? or is there major re-enforcement I need to fabricate?
Any help is much appreciated.
-Bob

Thought maybe I should upload how the frame appears now to clear up possible confusion.

This is how it looks presently.
