Low power/ cold front cylinder

Hi All,
after finally getting the motor running (See General "It Lives) I find that the front cylinder stays cold, misfires and the blast from the exhaust is much less compared to the rear.
I have looked at the "trouble shooting" in the Haynes manual and all point to fuel/ air mixture.
Before I start to strip the carbs again any help from you good people would be welcome.
Many Thanks

Gary

Viel Dank Gary

Hi Gunnar,
before you start to strip the carbs again, exclude the ignition to be the issue! If you have misfires, it can also be the ingition somehow. Have you checked the ignition spark at spark plugs? Try another spark plug, if not available change from front to rear to have a try, this can also be done with the plug caps if necessary.

Thanks Ernie,
I swapped spark plugs and problem still exists but the front plug is matt black so i think it could be air/ fuel related. Or I may have put the jets back in the wrong carbsSad

Fixed Grin
Wrong jets in carbs, left and right mixed up and way way way out of sync.

Running nicely now.

Also removed the air valve thing??

Mine went onto one cylinder on a quick ride around town to do a couple of jobs.  It was popping and banging and farting, really down on power - not at all like its usual effortless self.  I thought it felt like a fuel related problem.  It was - the front carb had popped right off its rubber!  The guy I bought it from had kindly cleaned the carbs for me before delivering it and had used GT85 in an attempt to make reassembly easier.  It did - unfortunately it also made it easier for it to disassemble itself!  No probs at all since.
