How to remove A2 restriction on yamaha xv1000 TR1
Yesterday at 00:32:45

Dear All,

I am new to this Forum and it happened that a good German friend 83 year old give away to me his Yamaha TR1 as unfortunately can not ride any longer for 6 years.

The TR1 has been lying in garage for 6 years.

I am a big Fan of Yamaha VMAX 1200 (Gen 1) and in Dubai was my hobby business to Buy & Sell Yamaha VMAX and other japanese Motorcycle.

Never seen the Classic Yamaha TR1 in Dubai.

I just fall in Love with TR1 and I can´t wait to get the TUV and ride it.

Things done for TR1 :

1. Drained old petrol Fuel from Fuel Tank & Carbs
2. New Oil & Oil Filter Replaced
3. New Airfilter replaced
4. New Spark Plugs Replaced
5. Cleaned & replaced with repair Carb kits
6. Front Brakes were Jammed !! cleaned & New Brake fluid (DOT 4)
7. Rear Brake shoe & brake drums Cleaned
8. Brand New Front & Rear Bridgestone Tyres
9. New Gel Battery
10. Fixed a small hole damage under left side Exhaust

How to find if my TR1 is restricted ?
As in the German papers it is restricted to 40 HP from 70 HP !
I have checked and taken photos of the carbs as it was my first time opening Carbs,  There is no any metal plate Small hole between the carb & cylinder head. (Please check the attach Photos)

TR1 is now running perfectly

It could be from the motorcycle trottle restricted but i do not know !  undecided

Advice is appreciated  Smiley

Hallo ali-vmax,

Lg,
Ali_Vmax
