After more than 15 years riding tr1's I have to confess I switched to "Deutsche gründlichkeit" (BMW R 1200 RT). Therefore I am selling the bike I rode the last 5 or so years. It is a version 2 tr1 with a version 1 tail. It is in good condition. Only problem is some oil leakage from the rear cylinder. Hardly any rust. Including a Garmin Quest 2 navigation with touratech support.
If you decide to buy the bike for a reasonable price, I will give you my spare parts supply for free when you come to pick it up (near Amsterdam). It has two starters, startercoils, speedometer, front lamp and much much more, all in good condition. Let me know you found the bike through this forum by mailing me the name of the forum manager and tr1 guru...

Ja, ich weiß. Und noch mehr: Leute mit so eine gründliche Machine sind eben so gründlich... Nicht mein Geschmack... Aber die Machine ist toll. Vielleicht ein bisschen zuviel Plastik darauf. Aber die GS ist soviel teurer. Abschied tut weh. Mach's bitte nicht noch schwieriger...

Du wirst die TR1 vermissen, wenn an der BMW das erste Mal das Getriebe kaputt ist.

Und du wirst die BMW lieben, jedes Mal wenn sie bei Knopfdruck einfach anspringt.
