Regarding the "a 140 tyre came off the rim" part, you have to be aware, that your rear rim is only 2.15" wide and that the recommended minimum width for a 140 and beyond is a 2.5" rim, so even if it is fittable, you will actually run it down a lot faster, because of its balloon-like shape AND it may induce some rather bizarre handling qualities… (mostly I'd say a trade off in straight-line-stability vs. slightly increased cornering feel).

P.S.: If the 140 came off the rim, it was most likely low on pressure or damaged during installation. At least that's my guess.
