Hi,I take off the original turn signal and mount new ones with 6 watt lamps.the problem I have is that the light stay fixed .I think the problem was in the blinker relay but I'm not shure of this.I ve also take off the horns .someone knows if there's a connection between the turn signals and the horns?I tested the relay but it seems ok...Thanks

Hi,
the original flasher relay will not work with 6 Watt lamps - you need to have the original 21 Watt or an electronic flasher relay. If you have mounted LED flasher, either resistors or electronic flasher relay should be used.
The horns are not connected with the flasher.

Thank you Karl Smiley...I have no led turn signals .if I change the 6 watt lamps with a
21 watt on the new turn signals?do you think it can work or I have to change the relay however? And if I change the relay the automatic turn signals release still works or I lost this function?thanks a lot for the help!!!

Hi, I assume that it will work with the 21 W bulbs. However, the cancelling unit may not work with an electronic flasher relay. Unfortunately, I do not know the cancelling unit since it is not used in most of the European TR1's. And the technical Information on this web page does only show the wiring diagrams (you may have a look into these files) but not the internal wiring of the components. If you Change back to the original flashlights, will this work?

Let's wait for Odin, he may have a solution.

I believe an electronic flasher unit will work with the cancelling unit. If you look at the wiring diagram you see that the flasher relay (Nr 23) just receives ground through the cancelling unit (Nr 20). And that should work with an electronic one too. But if you can fit 21W bulbs into your new flashers you are on the safe side.

Thanks a lot guys.Saturday I have a little more time to spend with my tr1 and I will find the better solution (changing the 6w with 21w or search for another relay).the tr1 I have was of my friend's father. It was hidden in the open air for more than ten years and then in a garage for another ten years... not used for all the time.it has only 8400 miles but I worked many hours to bring it back to life  Smiley yesterday I pushed the starter for the first time after all those years....five times and the engine runs perfectly. I can't believe at my eyes.now I have to solve this little problem, install the new speedometer with km/h scale because the original one was in miles, and then go out for a ride.I'm very excited and I hope that all the things works without surprise
So....Thank you again guys for the help.

Cheapest and easiest method is to replace by flasher relay.
You need a "load unabhäniges relay" for LED (1W to 100W form) it is electronic relay and you can use it as Plug and Play

If you want to use another speedometer, but you must then make trick for the indicator warning light, because the new flasher relay will have problems with new cable management

Thank you too odin!!I've found another original speedometer. I hope it will work without problems.for the flasher I found two resistor lost in a box in my garage.I try with this method and if it doesn't work ill buy a new electronic relay.
