Charly Ex Member	Translation of messages/Übersetzung von Beiträgen 21.11.05 at 12:24:28 Hallo Manfred, ich weiß jetzt nicht genau ob es schon gefragt wurde aber könnte man vielleicht wieder so ein Übersetzungsprogramm in den Kopf eines Threads einbauen.Mein Englisch ist nicht sooo dolle das ich die Fachbegriffe übersetzen kann und mir fehlt dann irgendwie der Zusammenhang. Da ist ein neues Mitglied ,aus den Staaten denke ich,der Probleme hat mit der Bedüsung vom hinteren Zylinder.Ich finde das recht interesssant aber ich verstehe nur die Hälfte. Bitte um Hilfe Mfg Charly

Das sollte eigentlich möglich sein. Zumindest leichter als im
alten Forum. Ich tauche mal in die Tiefen der Software ab,
und versuche eine Lösung zu finden.

Ein erster Versuch:

Alle die Deutsch als Default eingestellt haben, besitzen jetzt die Möglichkeit ins Deutsche
übersetzen zu lassen. Dazu einfach den Button

während der Thread angezeigt wird
drücken. Damit wird der ganze Thread übersetzt!

Vorschläge für Verbesserung bitte hier posten!

A first try for translation services:

Everybody with English as the default language, now can translate messages to English. Just use
the button

while reading a thread. This will translate the whole tread into English.

Please post suggestions for improvements here!

ACHTUNG!!

Nach einmaligem Übersetzen befindet man sich ab diesem Moment im
"Übersetzen"-Modus und alle weiteren Klicks werden über AltaVistas
"Babelfish" geführt. D.h. auch Passwörter bei Logins (die so auch nicht
funktionieren). Ein Verlassen des "Übersetzen"-Modus ist nur durch
entsprechend häufiges Klicken von "Zurück" (im Browser) oder durch
den Link "Forum" im oberen Hauptmenü möglich!

Ich suche noch nach einer Lösung dafür, bin aber skeptisch wie das
gehen soll.

ATTENTION!!

After one translation, the site is in "translation"-mode, and all further
clicks are routet over AltaVistas "Babelfish". That means that also
passwords for logins (which do not work while in "translation"-mode)
will be sent there. To leave "translation"-mode, you need to click the
"Back"-button in the browser often enough, or the link "Forum" in the
top-menu.

I'm looking for a solution to this, but i'm sceptical how this should work.

Eine kleine Verbesserung:

Es is jetzt in jedem Thread möglich, nach entweder Englisch

oder Deutsch

übersetzen zu lassen.

Wenn man sich dann im "Übersetzungsmodus" befindet, werden die beiden oben gezeigten Buttons durch

ersetzt. Bei Klick dieses Buttons im Threadmenü wird der aktuelle Thread ohne Übersetzung erneut angezeigt.
Ein Klick im oberen Haupt-Menü, hat die gleiche Wirkung wie

. Dies ist notwendig, um beim Navigieren in
ein anderes Board, noch die Möglichkeit zu haben, den "Übersetzungsmodus" zu verlassen.

Während Du im "Übersetzungsmodus" bist, hast Du nur die Rechte eines "Gastes"!!!

A small improvement:

Now it is possible in every thread, to translate either to English

or German

If you are in "Translation-Mode", the above shown buttons are replaced by

. After a click on this button in
the thread-menue, the current thread is displayed again without translation.
A click on this button in the top main-menue gives the same result as

. This is required to have the
possibility to leave the "Translation-Mode" if you navigate to another board.

While you are in "Translation-Mode", you just have "Guest" rights!!!

Wieder mal Neuigkeiten bzgl. Übersetzung: Nach einer kurzen Odyssee von ca. 6 Wochen mit der Google Translation API hat Google, was ich leider nicht vorher wusste, diese am 1.12.2011 auf kostenpflichtig umgestellt. Nun habe ich Google's Website Translator gadget eingebaut. Jeder der angemeldet ist, sieht für jeden Thread ein "Select Language" Menü. Dort kann die Zielsprache eingestellt werden. Bei jedem Beitrag steht dann in der Zielsprache das Wort "Übersetzen". Beim Klick auf diesen Link wird der Beitrag übersetzt und dabei farblich markiert. Mit "Original anzeigen" kann dann der Originaltext wieder hergestellt werden. Ich hoffe das neue Verfahren ist nun dauerhafter. Und jetzt bitte keine Kommentare bzgl. der Qualität. Es gibt nichts Besseres für kostenlose automatische Übersetzungen...

Again news regarding translation: After a short odyssey with the Google Translation API, Google has, what I did not know, changed that to a pay-service since December 1st, 2011. Now I have implemented Google's Website Translator gadget. Everbody who is logged on, sees for every thread a "Select Language" menu. There you can select the target language. At every post is then a "Translate" link in the target language. If you click this link, the post is translatet into the target language. To restore the original text, click "Show original". I hope this new method now is more stable. And please, no comments on the quality. There is nothing better for a free automated translation...

Now you can also translate the message index of a sub-board into 13 languages.
For example check the two attached pictures for the board "Help me! I'm lost with my TR1!"
