Is it possible to mend the chain enclosure??

I found a small hole on the one of the rubber (or soft plastic?) parts of the chain enclosure and it has been leaking for some time. Is it possible to mend the hole? If so with what??

OK, I tried with different things and found that Liquisole works great!  Grin It's for mending rubber boots or rubber soles. It's like silicone but stick better and gets a little bit harder. The chain enclousure seems to be some sort of synthetic rubber and gets hard if it gets to close to the exhaust (behind the left foot peg). I broke off a piece by accident when cleaning off grease and dirt.
