Rear cylinder problems
09.04.06 at 21:22:19

Have 1982 XV engine no 5k8001221 cutomized bike. Been to workshop 3rd time with same rear cylinder problem. After 500-1000km with top end rebuild starts missing on rear cylinder and then fouls up with oil They have replaced and rebored twice. Is there possible misalignment which could break oil ring. Compression ok.Spark plugs ok. Carbs ok.no leaking petcock. Any ideas?

Nice bike!
The measure of the headgasket depends on the year of construction of your engine.
The first TR1/XV920 gaskets are thinner than the newer ones!
So long!
