Tr1 carbs?

Hi all.
I have recently brought a motocross sidecar outfit with a Tr1 engine in it.I brought this bike from Finland and I am in the uk.The bike is running really badly ,which I think is fuel related. The bike is fitted with 38mm Mikunis with 52 slow jets 200 mains which may have been drilled bigger and K and N airfilters ,it also has small car silencers. It has been used with 36 dellortoes but I dont have these.
The question is are the 38 Mikuni to big?And what size jets should I start with?
Or I have 34 mm dellorto carbs of a big xs yam motor are these to small?
The carbs are roundslide ones.

Hi Paul,
I think the carbs can´t be big enough, the 38mm Mikuni should work fine, but the jets are too big.
For a competition engine with K&N airfilters and car silencers I would try 40/45 slow and 160 main jets. For normal use even those ´d be too big, 140 main jets even smaller should work fine.
