Will a XV1100 crankshaft fit in a TR1 engine case
05.01.13 at 14:27:45

Hello

I have broken a piston in my engine. I am trying to source another one. (Seperate blog) But, I have two XV100 barrels and pistons. The XV1100 pistons will not fit in the TR1. But a throught occured to me. If I sourced a XV1100 crankshaft I could fit the barrels and pistons I already have and increase the engine capacity to 1100cc.

But the big question is will the XV1100 crankshaft fit directly into theTR1 engine case?

Does anyone know. Has anyone ever done this?

Thank you
Kevin

Hello Sepp

I am Kevin from the UK. We met at the TR1 rally last year.

Thank you for the info om the crankshaft.

I would like to keep the original TR1 heads. I assume that if I did I would keep the TR1 compression ratio. With the extra engine capacity and original heads I sould get more torque but maintain the fuel economy.

Does the mix of TR1 heads and XV110 barrels work?

Regards
Kevin
