Hi
I'd like to upgrade my  ignition coils to something with a bigger spark
what are people using to replace their standard coils ?

Hi tophased,

I use coil-on-plug from e.g. a Yamaha R1 or Kawasaki ZX9R... They produce a spark, which is MASSIVELY stronger than stock. But you have to do a bit of fettling with wires.

Cheers,
Greg

Mostly... the tach-needle will get a bit jumpy at times and there's c.o.p.'s with 5k and 10k primary resistance. The latter work fine with both stock and Ignitech ignitions. The ones with only 5k primary resistance will work, but will cause the ignition box to get a bit warm at low revs. Personally, I didn't fry a box with them, but see it as a word of warning.

Cheers,
Greg
