hi , I also have this problem of the oil light coming on when its warming up and on acelerating and hills. have taken the oil sensor out and found that it is a tube with a float type setup, oil level drops float makes contact with the electrical contact in bottom. mine was filled with 30 years worth of oil sludge probaly giving false readings similar to a short.

Hello again,
Long time it took - been a bit lazy and (excuses)  the weather has not really been perfect for driving...
Anyway, got the bike on the road the engine well cleaned, oil changed etc.
Found the leak! Cheesy
The oil comes from the starter motor assy! elieve it or not!
After only 100km it was clear. Everywhere else it was nice and dry but underneath the startermotor very wet!

Is this unusual or common!
Any ideas how hard this may be to fix?

Thanks
Pauli

There should be an O-Ring on the neck of the starter to seal between crankcase and starter. It's the first time I've heard of this issue, but then again there's a first time for every fail.  Grin

embarrassed
Now it is dry, no leaks!
I'm happy but this is also most embarrasing.
Guess what!
It must have happened at some point last summer when I changed the oil! The O-ring on the oil cap must have fallen off and I didn't notice! Finally I came to thing of this as an alternative for the oil leak cause!
Grin
In any case - Thanks for the help yyou guys have provided!
Pauli
