1981 XV 1000 TR1 carbs

Forgive me if I am in the wrong place on this site. I have an 81 XV1000 TR1 that is in worse condition than I originally realized. It's an amazing bike and I don't want to give up on it. I need to replace the carbs but spares in South Africa are hard to come by. It appears that Virgo spares are more common. Can I use '85 Virgo carbs on my TR 1?

Yup, if they are already Mikuni (not exactly sure when the change happened), you'll also need the opener cable. Otherwise: Hitachi is Hitachi (750 versions are jetted slightly differently but nothing to write home about).
