when the road is straight, just try it, but for going right corners i would sugesst to try it on a hospital- parking area, during opening times,

Hey J!

The thing is, a stock TR1 with stock forks and a slightly longer rear shock is already a tad on the low side, so I am not too sure what kind of riding you do... If this bike is meant for the quarter mile, I'd load it up with your weight and have someone check the ground-clearance and consult your local dragstrip. Nowadays you're supposed to have at least 1.5 to 2 inches of ground clearance (fully loaded, race ready) in the roadgoing classes.

Safer and more driving pleasure will make the lowering of the Seat. Also more harmonious line to the tank.  Cool

greetings, Werner

Hello

Nice bike by the way.

I have made the same wire wheel conversion to my bike. I am only 5'6" tall and have found the original seating position a little too high.

I have changed my bike a little. I have dropped the yokes down the forks by 21mm. I have also fitted a 18 inch x 2.5 inch wheel to the front with a 110x80 18 tyre. The rear end is stock diameter with a 150mm wide tyre. The combination of wider tyre and smaller diameter front wheel has improved the handling considerably. As an added bonus the seating position is a little lower and more comfortable for me.

Regards
Kevin
