Cam chain length

I am building a TR1 engine that I didn't strip down myself. Originally I bought it for parts. The cam chain on the oil pump side seems too short? are the cam chains different lengths? I'm thinking the person I bought the engine from had more than one and had some parts mixed up. Are the cylinders identical? I mean can either cylinder be used as front or rear?

Hi !
Cylinders are identical as are the camchains. If one of the camchains suffers from a stiff link, they'll immediately be too short.
Cheers,
Greg
