TR1s in the UK

Does anyone know how many TR1s survive in the UK? I ask because they've always been rare here - Since first reading about them in the motorcycle press (and really wanting one!) in 1981, I've actually seen a grand total of five. Three of those have been the three I've owned since 1987... Looking forward to increasing that number drastically next August in Pitton.

Hello Keith

I have tried to find out but it's not easy. I contacted the DVLA and they don't record the TR1 as a specific model. They were very helpful and gave me a full list of all motorcycles currently taxed in the UK with additional information on each bike. Unfortunately I couldn't extract TR1's from the list.

The DVLA advised that I contact the body responsible for MOT's. I may be able to find out that way but haven't progressed that avenue yet.

I look forward to seeing you in Pitton next year. I am hoping to get 50 TR1's together. There will be a lot from Europe but hoping that TR1 riders in the UK will come forward and attend.

Regards
Kevin

With the Salisbury clock up the road you might get some folks from Russia.
