[Oil pump banjo bolt] - Copper gasket
21.05.24 at 18:30:42
Hello all,
There appears to be a slight weeping from the bottom copper crush washer/gasket on my TR1.
It is part number 90430-15169 on the diagram.
Should I replace it with an original item or would a normal copper washer do the trick?
I can get them locally for 3.95 EUR each. Should I replace all 3 or just the bottom one?
Any help is welcome.
Best Regards,
Evros

Unless they are scarred or otherwise visibly damaged, you can simply anneal them with a blow torch and they should seal just fine.
Cheers,

I'll take them out and have a look.
I thought that owing to their special shape annealing would have no effect.
I am contemplating to widen the banjo bolt hold and possibly to upgrade the oil pump but not too sure on it.
I also have to check the oil grade for Cyprus.
Thank you for replying.

Dear Evripidis,
the original Gaskets 90430-15169 (Pos. 21) and the lager one 90430-17168 (Pos.19) are spezial Gaskets which allow Oil pass thru.
Question: How often do you want to remove that Screw? Take care and use the original ones. AND always change the complete set.
In this case all 3 gaskets !
Have a look at ebay. Several overs there.
Best Regards
Anja

Thank you Anja.
I might take these out and re-tighten. I'll try annealling them while at it.
Probably read aroung a bit for the banjo bolt hole size etc.
Some youtube videos mention the knowledge found on this forum.
