Yes, you are right: The "gear idler set" (3LP-W1551-00-00) is the set that I mean. These are the improved parts that superseed the former ones. The set only contains the two corresponding gear wheels, but no spring anymore. The two wheels have a modified pitch angle, therefore they will only fit pairwise.

… and a different tooth count. So you also have to change the starter clutch.

sorry, but I made some different experiece when I changed the gear set on my bike to the new 3LP one. The starter clutch remains unchanged, There is no different tooth count except the already mentioned pitch angle. By the way - the countergear to the worn one as shown on the pics above is the rotor assy from generator. This one should al least be checked for tooth damage. When  changed my gear set I could keep the rotor.
