Also vielleicht bis dann .... Micha

My name is Michael Steinbach and I own a Yamaha SR 500 and
a '82 XY 650 SECA. The SR 500 I rode
40 000 miles through Europe. Both are very reliable bikes.
Last week I bought a '83 Virago and I am pretty disappointed
that Yamaha was not able to come up with a fix for this starter
issue. I am really afraid that parts will fall off the starter
and will damage something internally (flywheel).
The starter sounds terrible and it is embarrassing.
Does somebody own a 83 XV920MK and what's your experience?
Mike

I Brought a xv920 canadian import that was a non starter due to the starter motor i did eventually get it sorted and now its ok ( still noisy but it works ) in the process i have learnt a fair bit about them, very poor design.
email me with your specific problem and i will help all i can, it will help if you have access to some machinery ( lathes mainly )but i can also help with this if needed.
