Hello, as it says in the title, everyone!  I've just bought my third TR1 so I thought it'd be a good idea to join a forum where the members actually know what a TR1 is!  I'm located in Stoke On Trent, England, and as I said at the beginning, I'm a hopeless, incurable fan of the Yamaha TR1.  I had my first one in 1987 and it was a peach - smooth, quick and with nice stable handling.  Of course the starter clutch packed up in the first week of my ownership, but that was sorted by the shop I bought it from.  The second one was about ten years ago.  That one was the earlier model, with the rack and hugger.  It also had a horrible Nitto rear tyre, which was far too narrow and was squared off, which did nothing to help the handling.  It also vibrated a lot and was much slower than the first, but I still loved it.  Naturally the started clutch packed up in my first week of ownership.  Now I have my third.  It was delivered two days ago, it's silver, it's smooth and it's quick and it handles well.  Here we go again!  (The starter clutch has already been done!!!)
