Took the bike for a TÜV today - FAILED cry

The master cylinder on the bike is a Nissin that I think its from a CBR600 with a remote reservoir 14mm piston. That's how I bought the bike and it had passed the TÜV before with the previous owner in Köln.



They don't like it here in Hesse.
It was on the bike when I bought it and as far as I know was on the bike when the previous owner bought it and has been TÜV'ed many times.
Does anyone have a "Unbedenklichkeits besscheinigung" for such a thing or how do I get one?

Or, is it better to go to another, more bike friendly TÜV?

I think this  is a solution,
i never had those problems in lower saxony, just said that a 14mm is better for safety ( and this is the truth)  and that´s  what it is about, isn´t it?

"Go to another one" is the most promising advice when having problems with the Tuev...

I cant believe they failed on caliper dust caps as well?
Sometimes I miss FR... No control there.

I just had another thought. Are the HU records computerised?
I have not had to get a bike tested for the past 20 years so I don't know how this stuff works.

I know that in the UK, if you get a failed test and then go to another test centre, there is a database they can access and see if it was tested and failed and what it failed on. If the failures have not been rectified, they can prevent you taking the bike away.

Now, that would be a bit of a ball-ache!

Does the same sort of system operate here?

I dont belive that the Tuev works this way. You can also go to the Dekra, Kues or any other organisation that is allowed to make the HU. Best way is often to go to a smaller motorcycle workshop, let them mount a pair of new tires or make a service on the bike (so they also make some money) and let therm make the HU. They can also ask the engineer to inscribe the brake pump into the documents of your bike.

Another suggestion. Mount a 14mm brake pump from the Yamaha XJ600 Diversion. There is YAMAHA printed on it and noone recognizes it.

OK, thanks Schorsch,
I will give it a try at a local DEKRA and maybe take all the old TÜV papers with me (8 of them, all Dekra), and the couple of ABE's I have and see how that works.
I noticed the guy was looking at the Stahlflex hose from the M/cylindger and it does look shite. Like its too long so there is a big loop in it. The Stahlflex is in the reg doc, so I will replace that with a shorter one and re-rout it correctly so it doesn't stand out!

Brake hose replaced with a shorter/neater one and dust caps added to calliper's.
It sailed through. He didn't even look at the mastercylinder.
