Revmeter out of order

Hey Guys!
I just bought three years ago a TR1 bild 81. My main problem is the revmeter, it's out of order. The connections to the revmeter are o.k. I just tried to look after but i didn't get trough it.
A new one costs about 600DM! Who could give me tips for repairing - or a used one more less money!
Thanks a lot Dirk

Hi Dirk!
just a hint:
have you checked whether the connection with the ignition system is o.k.?
thats where the thingy gets its information for rpm.
Try finding another TR1 rev and hook it up to test it.
The fault may be in your bike, not the revmeter.
Theres nothing in there that wears..
Whats the trouble? I guess it doesn't show anything, so the above said is probable..
check the wiring all the way inside and down to ignition system,
just if everything is connected..
tell meif you find anything..
