I think it shouldnt matter. Using an O-ring chain in a closed chain case may be better than using a non-O-ring chain without chain case.

I check the chain every time when i change the rear tyre. But i have to adjust the tension only every 3 or 4 tyres (6.000 to 8.000 kilometers each). He sais that some peolpe say, that the heat within the chain case could burn the o-rings, but he also says that this is nonsense. And even if the rings get burned, who cares? The original chain has no rings either.

IOW: Dont care to much about the chain, go riding!
