Front Brake pads
19.07.00 at 10:52:00

Hi folks,
does anybody know what the thin, cartoon like plates between the front brake piston and the brake pad mean? It has the shape of the brake pad but a wedge like cut at the front side.
It's always a big deal to place them correctly after changing the pads and a mechanic I asked said he never refits them but through them away. I hope somebody knows what they are for and/or has some experience in leaving them away.
Looking forward to your answer
Armin

I think they are there to prevent the noise when you are braking.
I do not have them installed myself and the brakes are screaming
best regards
Kurt
